"Please be green and keep your recyclables clean."
Residential Collection

Our goal is to maximize the efficiency with which we complete the collection process in order to limit noise, interruption of traffic, and other impacts to the neighborhoods we serve. With this in mind, we offer the following information:

Guidelines and Helpful Hints:

  • Wheel all toters to the curb by 5:00 AM on your day of service each week. Remember, Concord Disposal Service provides pickup service for solid waste, recyclables, and yard waste each week.
  • Automated Pick Up
  • Concord Disposal Service will not pick up over-loaded toters.
  • Please place the toters 2 to 3 feet apart from each other. This makes automated pickup possible, greatly speeding the collection process.
  • Be sure to bag all ashes, kitty litter, sawdust, and Styrofoam™ before placing in the toter.
  • RENTAL PROPERTIES: We require new tenants to present a copy of the rental agreement before we start service for the tenant. As long as there are no outstanding bills for the property, we will open the account for the tenant. However, when there is an outstanding balance, we require service to be in the owner’s name.

Concord Municipal Code Section 82-37 states “all occupied premises within the city shall have refuse service”. While the tenant, lessee, or occupant of any premises may be billed for refuse service, it is the property owner who is responsible for the bill if the tenant, lessee, or occupant does not pay, or is unable to pay the bill. Uncollected refuse accounts are the responsibility of the property owner.
  • IMPORTANT: Per Concord Municipal Code CMC 62-32 (1)v., collection toters must NOT remain at the collection point for more than twenty-four (24) hours before pickup or more than twenty-four (24) hours after your scheduled pickup. Additionally, toters must be stored the remainder of the time in a manner so as not to be visible to the public.
  • Concord Disposal Service completes its collection service every day of the year except Christmas and New Year’s Day. If your collection service falls on these two holidays, your garbage will be collected the following day, for that week only.
  • If you have extra garbage, computers, appliances, or televisions, please call us to schedule a special pickup at (925) 682-9113.
